A Message from the president of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation
Christopher J. Phelan
The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, established in 2014, exists to promote, support and fund initiatives that enhance opportunities for leadership, education, economic and workforce development.
The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation will be a model for innovation excellence that impacts a healthy sustainable business environment for the region.
The Foundation has been hard at work renovating the historic Large House as the new location of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce. The Foundation is also working on the Center for Business & Entrepreneurship and will look to partner with other business resources, educational institutions like Raritan Valley Community College and the Small Business Development Center to provide programs, services and initiatives that will benefit the greater community. The Center will be a place of collaboration for the Business Community to house critical services for existing businesses and cultivate entrepreneurship, will work with state, county, educational and local resources to partner and provide programs and services that support our existing business community and will support Leadership Hunterdon and its mission to transform people to become trustees of our communities.
Additionally, the Center will create an appealing and inviting County Business - Visitors Information Center that will enhance awareness of Hunterdon as a destination and encourage visitors to patronize local businesses throughout the County and/or relocate to Hunterdon County. The Center will provide a more effective and productive environment for the Foundation to successfully work with and develop partnerships that will strengthen the business community through educational programs and support for entrepreneurship.
