Music Festivals
Hunterdon County loves its music festivals. Almost every celebration includes more than an ample dose of music: folk music, country music, rock and Christian. The Red Mill, on the South Branch of the Raritan River in Clinton, NJ, is the site of the annual Black Potato country music festival in mid-summer. Clinton has recently introduced a pop music festival held in the center of this downtown Victorian village. Drawing genX-ers, Y-ers and boomers, the concert/festival pulls county residents and tourists into one of the most picturesque towns in New Jersey for a day of fun and music. Revelation Generation Christian Youth Festival is a multi-day event which includes campers, vendors, and some rockin’ good Christian music.
It’s the wonderful music that magnetizes the youth to Revelation Generation Christian Youth Festival each September in Kingwood Township. Big and growing annually, this is a special attraction for youth from the entire eastern seaboard.
In conjunction with The Hunterdon County Parks System, Merck & Co., Inc. sponsors concerts in Deer Path Park throughout the summer months. The lawn is spotted with an array from finely set tables with candles to with picnic blankets with families who enjoy the music, atmosphere and lifestyle of Hunterdon County’s music festivals.
Visit Flemington Borough on the third Thursday evening of the summer months and you’ll enjoy a street concert together with room to dance and food to keep you happy while the balmy breezes blow.
