On the net every Friday from 5 PM to 6 PM, The Sports Guys share their humor and passion for the sports teams they love and the sports activities they want to share with you the greater Hunterdon County listening audience.
The Sports Guys’ feature “GET UP OFF THAT COUCH” brings to Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Internet radio weekly guests to share their passion about their own sports, related sports businesses , indoor and outdoor activities and hobbies. The Sports Guys guests have included Health Quest Master Trainer Tony Tierno on getting fit and preventing injuries from an active life style, local baseball, sailing, flying and kayaking enthusiasts, and area health care professionals to help you get up and keep you off that couch and to stay fit and healthy while avoiding the injuries that can result from an active life style.
The SPORTS GUYS’ encourage active participation in all kinds of sports and to have you , our listeners and guests, come on the net to talk about your passion for the game .

Just Who are the Sports Guys?
Bill Wolfson is a Flemington lawyer who handles primarily bankruptcy and business cases. Born a block from the right field bleachers of Yankee Stadium, Bill is a lifelong Yankee fan who bleeds pinstripes. When in kindergarten, Bill’s family moved to Flemington where his late mother Harriet Wolfson was born and raised.
Bill graduated from Hunterdon Central in 1969 and attended Philadelphia’s Temple University where he played club ice hockey , flag football and baseball. At Temple University during the Philadelphia Flyers two Stanley Cup Championship years , Bill attends Flyers games whenever he can and brings his fellow SPORTS GUY John Manfreda with him in order to ‘let him see what a real hockey team looks like’.
An avid sail boater , Bill and his wife Barbara have sailed extensively in the Caribbean, throughout the Greek Islands and up and down the Atlantic Coast. Bill roots for the Flyers, Eagles, Jets , Yankees, New York Giants (if they ever establish a running game) and his Temple Owls.
John Manfreda hails from Boston where he rooted for the Red Sox, Bruins and New England Patriots growing up. A Boston college grad, John points out that his Eagles have never been kicked out of the Big East (or any other football conference unlike Bill Wolfson’s Temple Owls).
John practices Wills, Trusts and Estate law and Business Law at Gebhardt and Keifer in Clinton where he is a partner. Despite being a Red Sox fan, the New Jersey Devils and New York Football Giants let John attend their games. John is still tormenting fellow SPORTS GUY Bill Wolfson over the Devils ousting the Flyers in last year’s Stanley Cup semi finals , the Red Sox’s 2004 humiliation of Bill’s Yankees and deplorable state of Philadelphia sports teams and fans.
Pat Smits practices divorce and family law in Hunterdon, Warren and Morris Counties. The New Jersey Supreme Court recognized her skill, expertise and dedication to her clients and awarded her the coveted designation as a Certified Family Law Attorney.
A Wisconsin native, Pat and her husband Dave graduated from the University of Wisconsin where Dave played football. Pat is a diehard Green Bay Packer fan and a lifelong football aficionado who rarely misses a Packer’s game whether on TV or, even better, at the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. Wisconsin breeds resilient football fans. Pat has recovered from the bad call on the ‘Hail Mary’ last play of the Packers-Seattle game. Surprisingly tolerant, Pat has permitted a small handful of her family members to root for the Philadelphia Eagles.
