We will interview guests who represent leaders in the treatment and prevention field, family members, volunteers making a difference in our community, elected officials, wellness leaders, etc. |
Jennifer Denlinger, Rocky Schwartz and Christine Yanoso are Family Support Coordinators from Prevention Resources in Flemington. We offer support to families who have a loved one with a substance use disorder. Our free services are available to families in Hunterdon, Somerset and Mercer counties. The services are free and available as long as needed. This could be as simple as one phone call or ongoing supportive help.
Jennifer brings compassion and an open heart to her position as Family Support Coordinator. Her experience in the recovery community has uniquely prepared her for this role, for which she is very grateful. Anticipating the completion of a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies in the spring of 2019, Jennifer is a certified Spiritual Director who has experience companioning individuals in recovery.
Rocky is a staunch behavioral health advocate, fueled by lessons learned through personal experience and success in navigating the behavioral health system. She has testified before the New Jersey Legislature, U.S. Senate, met with the NJ Attorney General’s staff and testified to the President’s Commission on Combatting Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis in 2017. The Mental Health Association of New Jersey presented Rocky with the 2018 Advocacy Award.
Christine brings a strong capacity of understanding and empathy to her position as a Family Support Coordinator. Her life experiences of navigating through and advocating for adolescent programs, facilities, and professional providers, has given her a wealth of knowledge and resources that she brings to her role. Her professional experience includes working as a Family Support Partner for The Children’s System of Care as well as a Family Support Partner with the Juvenile Justice Commission through The New Jersey Alliance of Family Support Organizations.
