Veterans' Discounts
The Hunterdon County Clerk’s office, Hunterdon County Division of Veterans Services and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce and local businesses have teamed up to thank our Veterans for their service by offering discounts at participating local businesses.
The Hunterdon County Clerk’s office offers Veteran’s Photo Identification Cards to Hunterdon County Veterans, at no charge, who file their U.S. Military Service Papers and show proof of identification and domicile in Hunterdon County. This ID Card can be shown at participating retailers, restaurants and merchants who offer discounts to veterans. Some national retailers, such as Lowe’s, offer discounts from 5% to 15% to veterans who show proof of their veteran status.
“The Chamber is very proud of our County Clerk for being the first in the State to offer a Veterans Photo Identification Card,” Chris Phelan, Chamber President said. “The service, sacrifice and dedication that our Veterans have made enable the spirit of free enterprise to exist, we owe a debt of gratitude to our Veterans and this is just one small way we can show our appreciation.”
